5 Healthy Eating Start Ups You Should Know About!

Whilst working as a marketing assistant at a film production company I’ve discovered so many great new brands especially in the healthy eating department that I just wanted to shout about!

Pip & Nut

I’m a girl who LOVES my peanut butter, so when I came across Pip & Nut I couldn’t wait to try it!
Pip started her own peanut butter company after unable to find healthy but fulfilling snacks after running. She started making her own butters from a variety of nuts and removed any refined sugars or palm oil to make it as natural as it could be! Pip & Nut have a range of amazing flavours, I’ve tried the Almond Butter which is amazing! They taste so much better than normal peanut butters, having a crunchy texture (which I love!) and just so many great flavours within one spoonful! I am so desperate to try Almond and Coconut Butter and especially the Crunchy Maple Peanut Butter Limited Edition Flavour! Although originally sold in markets, you can now get Pip & Nut in a few stockists such as Selfridges, and online herePip & Nut is great for refuelling after exercise or simply slathering over your toast on a lazy Sunday morning!

MOJU

Moju is a start-up that encapsulates one of the hottest trends on the health market right now, juices! You can basically get juicing anything now – kale, celery, spinach! And the thing is…they taste great?! MOJU are packed full of amazing ingredients and come in a range of flavours. Founders, Charlie and Rich met at University and simply built there brand on their love of juicing! Unlike other fancy juices, these juices pack all the goodies in without hurting your wallet. My favourite flavour has to be the Beetroot, Apple and Carrot flavour, doesn’t sound like its going to work, but it so does! Unfortunately they don’t have loads of stockists yet, however simply go on their website and order a fridge pack!

Emily’s Fruit Crisps

Vegetable crisps have been all the range recently, with Tyrell’s joining the club bringing out their own version. I have to say, I really enjoy Vegetable Crisps and feel they bring a different, unique taste and texture compared to unhealthy crisps. Emily’s Fruit Crisps was developed after Emily and her husband Alex, discovered a way of vacuuming fruit in Asia that locked in all the nutrients. You can currently buy these crisps in a range of flavours including Pineapple, Apple and Banana. My favourite is banana as I’ve always been addicted to banana chips but the texture in these fruit crisps are just so crunchy! Another aspect of the product I absolutely love is the floral, girly packaging which is just great for any dinner parties or BBQ’s this Summer! Stockists for Emily’s Fruit Crisps include Topshop, Holland and Barrett, Whole Foods or by them online at Ocado.

The Coconut Company

Another company that is bang on trend which now is The Coconut Company. Coconut Oil and is all the range right now for all sorts of reasons, oil pulling, cooking food, body butter etc. However what’s unique about The Coconut Company is they do so much more than Coconut Oil, providing a range of Coconut Vinegars, Unrefined Coconut Sugars, Coconut Flour and more, and its all vegan! Another aspect I love about the company is that they source all their coconuts Sri Lanka and the Philippines and are certified Fair-trade and Organic! Although I haven’t tried any of their products yet, I am excited to get stuck into this coconut craze, make sure to check out their website!

Upbeat Drinks

Upbeat drinks are a collection of whey protein drinks that have taken the health industry by storm. Although I don’t work out…like ever, I grabbed one of these drinks from Tesco in the Chocolate and Orange flavour and absolutely adored it! It perked me up and put a spring in my step for the whole day! Although whey protein is great for building muscle, it also has so many other health benefits including promoting healthy bones, hair and skin! They come in a range of delicious flavours including Strawberry, Blueberry and Raspberry, Chocolate and Orange, and Mango and Passion Fruit! Upbeat drinks are great for if your having a sluggish day to instantly make you feel more perked up! Stockists include Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and here at Ocado.

Hope you enjoyed a list of my favourite upcoming health start-ups, and let me know if you have any you’d add to the list and if you’ve tried any of the products in my list!
