So unbelievably its already Summer already, and I think all us Brits have been struggling with the 30 degree heat already! And with Summer comes festivals,
holidays, and sunny evenings. For me sandals are the best and comfiest shoes to wear for all of the
upcoming events (although maybe pack your wellies for the festivals!)
When it comes to sandals long gone are the days of simple
Havana flip-flops or slides, sandals come in array of colours, materials,
heels, no heels, and brands. Now I’ve favoured flat sandals for this post just
for ease and their always the best for the beach and to slip on to head to
beach.
I’m a lover of the high street so I’ve added in my favourite
high street sandals along with a few high end brands (all under £200!) I love
all of these sandals because they just stand out and are the statement piece of
any outfit.
Let me know which ones are your favourites!
PUMA x Fenty Slides
Designed by Rihanna, these
were always going to be stylish! I’m a big fan of the black, but I also the
pink – happen to feel the white ones wouldn’t stay white for long! In the
Summer these would look great with both boyfriend jeans, or a denim a-line
skirt or some culottes. Although these sandals would be one to save for when
its not a rainy London day!
Check out the whole Puma x Fenty Collection here.
MABU by MARIA BK Sandals
How gorgeous are these shoes?!
Hand-made in Greece these tie up calf sandals would look incredible with a
playsuit or some shorts in the Summer. Recently saw a friend of mine in shoes just like these and I've become obsessed. And you just know there enough of a
statement to get SO many compliments. Although they are pretty pricey on Net-a-Porter. You can also find similar styles at Missguided and EGO which I will definitely be buying!
Ancient Greek Sandals by
Caravana
Again, another pair that are
on the more expensive side of the spectrum, however once again, you know your
not gonna see anyone else wearing these on the high street! Looking like a
costume piece out of Greek Tragedy, there are such a conversation starting
piece! Although I feel their harder to style that the MABU sandals, these would
work most effectively with a floaty black maxi dress for both day and night!
Find here on Net-a-Porter.
Public Desire Sandals from ASOS
Here’s an example of a cheaper
brand still providing gorgeously designed sandals that make a statement! At £25
from ASOS these
sandals would look great with a monochrome skirt and top combo that would
really attract attention to your tanned legs. Would look great paired with some
cat-eye sunglasses and red lipstick!
Daisy Street Metallic Sandals
Metallics has been a massive trend throughout this whole
year, so why should summer be an exception? These would give you such a
Coachella-vibe if paired with ribbed shorts and a crop top for festivals this
Summer. Also the Metallic edge gives it a very day-to-night vibe. This pair
from Daisy Street at ASOS are budget but will no doubt grab attention to your
outfit! As you can see I am loving the lace-up effect of sandals this
Summer, they can be paired with so many different outfits and are both sexy
whilst being comfy to run around in!
There’s a range of sandals out there, proving that whether
budget or blowout, its time to get your legs out!
Which pair was your favourite?
